Depending on the diamond grit you use to polish a concrete floor, you can achieve different ranges of aggregate exposure and different levels of sheen, from matte to a glossy mirror-like finish.
Concrete Polishing Types We Offer
Depending on the diamond grit you use to polish a concrete floor, you can achieve different ranges of aggregate exposure and different levels of sheen, from matte to a glassy mirror-like finish.
Cream
The surface cutting depth is very slight and shows little or no aggregate exposure.
Salt and Pepper
The surface cutting depth is around one-sixteenth of an inch and exposes finer to small aggregates.
Medium Aggregate
The surface cutting depth is around one-eighth of an inch and exposes medium-size aggregates.
Large Aggregate
The surface cutting depth is around one-fourth of an inch and exposes large aggregates with more uniform consistency in aggregate size.
Levels of Shine to Choose From
Satin Finish
This grit level produces a low-luster matte finish.
Semi-Polished Finish
The surface will have a much higher sheen than Satin and you’ll start to see good light reflectivity.
High-Polished Finish
This level of polish produces a high degree of shine, so that when standing directly over the surface, you can see your reflection with total clarity.
